Luka Koper is the main port in Slovenia. Its strategic positioning makes it one of the most important European cargo ports, connecting mainly markets of Central and Southeast Europe with the Mediterranean Sea and Far East. Differently from other European ports, which are managed by port authorities, the activities of Port of Koper comprise the management of the free zone area, the management of the port area and the role of terminal operator.
The core business covers cargo handling and warehousing services for all types of goods, complemented by a range of additional services for cargo with the aim of providing a comprehensive logistics support for customers. The company manages the commercial zone and provides for the development and maintenance of port infrastructure.
In 2021 they finished a new 100-meters long dock, for which I designed all the materials for the opening ceremony. That mainly consisted of banners, stage oratory, container decoration etc. The idea was also to have a "World Masterchef degustation corner" showing how Port of Koper connects with the world trade. For that I designed a floor decoration with a globe and stations, but it was not executed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
